A08L light electric wheelchair Wheelchair - For Users Up to 25 Stone (160kg)

The wheelchair is designed for those who weigh less than 25 stone (160kg). The wheelchair can be folded down to the size that makes it easy to lift into and out of the boot.

This powerchair is able to be equipped with Invacare's Modulite seating system that provides postural support and comfort for the user. Twin batteries are available with a range of 27 miles.

A06L

This heavy duty model is based on the popular A06 Freedom Chair and can accommodate users up to 25 stones/160kgs. The powerchair comes with two 300 watt motors that can take you to speeds up to 4mph with a range of 9 miles or more from just one battery (a second battery is also available).

It's light weight electric wheelchair, foldable and compact when not in use, which means it's easy to transport and store. It's perfect for those who travel via cruise ship, car or plane with their chairs electric as it easily fits into the cabin. It also has airline-approved lithium-ion batteries as well as an adaptor cable for charging off-board.

The powerchair is controlled by the joystick that is mounted on either armrest. It can be used either right or left handed. The foot plate can be raised to allow easy user transfers, and the tyres are 12" all-terrain PU, so it can tackle more challenging terrain.

There is plenty of room to store personal belongings in the handy under-seat bag and the zippered pockets that are fixed on the back of the seat. To ensure safety for the user there are electronic brakes as well as an adjustable lap belt.

The Freedom A06L is more compact and easy to maneuver than a mobility scooter and can be pushed into tight spaces like shopping centres or elevators. It can be able to climb gradients up to 8 percent. A kerb climber option is available so you can drive up the ramp or step without requiring assistance. The chair also comes with an horn as well as a removable seat and back cushions to make cleaning easy. It also comes with the Captain's Seat that swivels with adjustable arm rests. The A08L is a larger version of the A06 electric wheelchair. It features two main differences, specifically the size of the rear wheels and the power of motors driving them. This more powerful configuration means that the powerchair is able to support the maximum weight of 25 stone (160kg). It also has the top speed of 6.5 km/h (4 mph). The tyres with PU in this model are larger which makes it better suited for more rough terrains. The control system employs electromagnetic brakes to make it very easy to slow down and stop.

As well as being a highly efficient chair, this model is extremely easy to fold and use. It is perfect for those who frequently travel using their electric wheelchair since it can be folded down to the smallest size and then wheeled using the backrest as a handle. The anti tip wheels make it even more maneuverable and the wheelchair can easily fit into the car's boot or the hold of public transport.
