Keeping your house clean with pets and children is challenging enough. A self-emptying dock with a bagless automated vacuums design mopping feature, as well as a smart app make Eureka's E10S a smart method to reduce time and free up your hands for other tasks.

The E10S is a basic robotic vacuum and mop created to take the strain of everyday chores, while providing the level cleaning you expect at home. It takes the E10S around four hours to fully charge from zero, but it starts up and can be roaming around the house after a complete recharge which is enough time for a typical cleaning session. The robot maps your home, and then creates a schedule of cleaning using the GPS of your phone. You can define zones and rooms. You can also start cleaning at any time using the onboard buttons, or the app.

Our test subjects discovered that the E10S is efficient in removing most dirt and debris, with a few minor exceptions. It had a difficult time with certain sticky spills, and had a tough to get into tight corners. The mopping capabilities of the machine are limited to a single mop pad at the back of the machine. It is not always able to lift the mop pad when it's dropped on flooring or carpets.

The E10S robot is attractive and well-engineered. It is also easy to use. The base station is sleek and looks great and has a clear perspex front to see when it needs to be emptied. It also has a handy ledge that allows it to stand up on its own when placed on a flat surface. In contrast to other robots, the E10S has a bagless multi-cyclonic system that's as easy to empty like a normal vacuum.

Dyson Detect

Dyson, the company best known for its TikTok hair stylers as well as high-tech cordless vacuums sporting modern design has entered the world motorized mopping. The V15s Detect Submarine is a vacuum cleaner and mop that can be used on hard floors. It has two heads that include the Fluffy Optic Cleaner Head with a laser built in for hard floors and the Digital Motorbar Cleaner Head.

Like the other V15s models this model can be transformed into a handheld tool by disconnecting its main wand and securing any of the eight tools that it comes with directly to the dust bin, including a new anti-tangle hair screw that includes 56 polycarbonate teeth that slice up strands of human and pet hair to allow them to be carried into the canister rather than stuck around the brush head. It also features three power levels as well as an efficient bin emptying system that holds debris until it's cleared of.

Another useful feature is V15s Detect's smart LCD screen, which displays what you're currently in ('Auto,' 'Eco and 'Boost'), how much battery life remains, and a detailed graph that shows exactly what you're sucking up, from large chunks of dirt to tiny skin particles and allergens. You can set a reminder that will remind you to empty your dust container at regular intervals. This is a great method to avoid overflowing.

It's simple to use, too. After a full charge the V15s Detect only takes 4.5 hours to reach its 100 100% runtime. To start cleaning, simply attach the attachments you prefer and press the selection button to choose a mode. The LEDs will turn green on the front to confirm that all the dirt has been removed.

The trigger-operated system is a feature that has a split opinion. Some find it difficult to use for long cleaning sessions. Dyson addressed this in the later models by using an on/off button that you can push, and a bigger bin size which is a good thing given the amount of debris this vacuum collects. The vacuum also requires a specific filter that can be removed from the base and washed under running water to keep it running at its peak.

Kenmore STRATUS

The Kenmore STRATUS is an automated bagless vacuum cleaner that also mop. It has a color-coded dust cup and adjusts its suction to match the cleanliness of your flooring. It is not the most powerful model or durable, but it does clean carpeted stairs effectively and works on many surfaces. The only disadvantages of this model are its small dust container and limited battery life.

With 18 minutes of runtime per charge, this lightweight cordless stick vacuum is a great option for apartment dwellers or quick home cleaning. It comes with docking station that sits up straight and out of the way, so you don't have to be concerned about tangling or falling over cords. The handheld vacuum is detachable and weighs just 3lbs, meaning it's easy to carry up and down stairs or tackle cobwebs on shelves. The LED headlight makes it easy to see through small spaces and around furniture.

Shark EZ Robot

Shark is an established vacuum brand that produces some of the best robot vacs on the market. Its AV911S EZ model is designed to compete with top competitors like the Roomba i7+. This robot vacuum fixes many of the issues that plagued previous models with the addition of self-emptying features and a better maneuverability. It also takes less time to recharge and also has fewer recurring costs than the iRobot.

It's easy to install this robot right from the box. It is all you need to do is put the two side brushes in place and then place the docking station on the mat provided. It's easy to use, as well, allowing you to start the process, stop it, and then return it to dock using buttons on its top and through its companion app. It can be controlled with voice commands or Alexa devices.

In our tests, the AV911S EZ performed well on carpets and hard floors with strong suction and effective mapping capabilities. It's small enough to fit under most couches and tables as well, and it can even return to areas that require more cleaning. It isn't able to remove obstructions that are low in elevation, however, like electrical cords.

The EZ Robot has a number clever features that make it easy to use and maintain, including automatic emptying. It also comes with a dedicated neutralizer of odors. It is also easy to connect with Alexa or Google Home devices, if you prefer using your smartphone to control it using voice commands. Its companion SharkClean app is quite feature-rich however it isn't particularly user-friendly, and it is prone to freezing. The app allows you to change the suction power mode, command the vac to start cleaning or return to the dock, schedule a cleaning session, monitor the vac's charge status and maintenance history, and set up push notifications. You'll require a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection in order to use it. The IQ Robot has physical control buttons, which permit you to switch modes or stop its work by pressing on the Clean button in purple. It also has a Find Robot button that can locate the vac if it is lost.
