The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a excellent choice if you're on a budget and do not need an extra stroller that can be used as car seat carrier. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop comfortable.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents looking for a secondary stroller that's affordable. It scored high in our Strollers & Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions, meaning it is lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to move and store into a car trunk. It also offers a multi-position reclining seat and a cup holder for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels, as well as two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

In our push and turn test it performed better than many of the other cheap single pushchair strollers we tested, but it's still not the easiest to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doorways. The sunshades it has are among the most compact we tested, with only direct overhead coverage, and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together using an average manual, and none of the components required tools. It is missing certain features we consider essential for double strollers. They include a large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

It is really easy to maneuver and the one-hand recline of the seat and the massive shopping basket make it simple for parents to get their child in and out of the seat quickly. This narrow pushchair handled every day bumps and doors easily.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward position or rotate. This is useful when navigating rough terrain. On our walk along the stony path we let them move and it did this quite well although it did seem a little bumpier than others that we tested.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is a household name for their three-wheeled, all-terrain pushchairs for jogging, but they also make a good range of 4-wheeler strollers. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It is simple to fold and can fit into the boot of a car even with a carrycot attached.

It's a little heavier than other strollers that we test, but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and durable. It's a breeze to maneuver across all types of terrain and it's easy to move even with two kids and a shopping bag.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that can be lowered to reveal a UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are waterproof and strong unlike other prams' hoods that get turned back into toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it comes with an ample basket that is deep enough to hold a changing bag or plenty of groceries. It can also be linked with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene, it stole the hearts of parents everywhere. It's a frame made of aluminum that will be with you throughout your baby's early days and beyond. It comes with a variety of notable features, including the possibility of flipping the seat to be parent-facing and the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy that has an eye-shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are durable and filled with foam, which reduces the risk of punctures and the chassis has built-in suspension which takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. Our tester found it to be smooth to push and was able to maneuver it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It is easy to fold and assemble within 5-10 minutes, without tools. The instruction manual is easy to read and contains a variety of languages.
