Amazon Cancels iRobot Deals

Amazon has canceled its planned purchase of Roomba maker iRobot and said the deal is facing "undue and disproportionate regulatory hurdles." The company will pay iRobot a breakup fee of $94 million.

The acquisition was deemed to be anti-competitive by the European Commission (the EU's executive arm, and the highest antitrust enforcement agency).
