iRobot Combo Review

Combo is iRobot's first mop-and-vacuum robot, and it's the most stylish model from the company. The polished aluminum top and iRobot Logo are more classy than the blatant designs of competitors.

The iRobot Home application is used to guide and set up your robot. The app gathers data on usage and maps of your house, including furniture and obstacles. Maps and image data is only shared with iRobot if you opt-in.

It's a mop

The Combo Irobot, a highly intelligent mopping robot, takes all the intelligence of the fantastic best rated roomba vacuum J7+ and adds a reservoir of water onboard, a small pad for mopping and a robot arm that can raise and lower the pad. It can complete a large amount of work in just 111 minutes before it is power-depleted and returns to its base station to recharge.

The model that comes with the iRobot Home app so that you can begin or stop cleaning runs. The robot is also stylish with a matte black material that does not show dust or fingerprints and a brushed aluminium top part with the tiny irobot mapping Logo.

It does a great job of vacuuming, and has no problem traversing large area rugs or transition strips between flooring surfaces. It's even able to capture fine dust that other robotic vacuums don't. It's not great at mowing. It's not able to eliminate dried milk stains, for instance unless you send it out at least four or five times.

irobot series’s dedicated Braava jet M6 mopping robot cleaner, which is often available as a bundle with the J7 Plus for less than the cost of the combo Combo does a much better job in this and other difficult jobs. It is also able to clean up ketchup and wine spills, however I wouldn't recommend it to be used after any liquids that have a high amount of sugar.

It's an air vacuum

It's among the more attractive robot vacuums. The top piece is smooth and doesn't show dust or fingerprints as easily as some of its competitors. Its tiny water tank and dustbin are easy to close and open but they're not the greatest in terms of capacity. The Combo J7+ also comes with the smarts you expect from iRobot including maps and obstacle avoidance mapping that operates effectively and swiftly. The mopping arm is what makes this model stand out from the rest of its competitors. It keeps the mop pad hidden in the top of the vacuum, but when it recognizes the need to mop a surface it lowers the pad beneath and behind the robot. This is a major improvement over other robot vacuums, which require you to remove mop pads from carpets or hard floors manually. You can even switch off the entire unit for mopping.

It's an electric charging station

When you're ready to charge your combo irobot - isingna.lncorp.Kr -, just place it on the changing station and align its metal contacts with the ones on the base. The charging station is easy to set up and works well. In my tests it took only a few seconds to charge and then make noise when finished. After the Combo irobot vacuum cleaner is fully charged, you can start mapping runs in the app to help it better understand your home. You can also mark certain objects such as lamp cords, as permanent avoidances in the app. You can also connect your robot to Alexa or Google Assistant, so you can use voice commands to direct it around your home.

It's a smart device

Combo irobots vacuum cleaner use acoustic and onboard sensors to discover the kind of floor it's encountering, as well as the furniture in your home. It also combines this knowledge with maps of your space and image data from the robot's camera to develop a custom cleaning plan for each room. This makes it intelligent enough to keep your sofa, lamp cords and other items you want to keep. Like any other connected device, there are concerns about the security of these information. But iRobot affirms that it will never sell customer information and all images are taken with customers' consent.
