Since this refrigerator costs more, I'd expect higher quality.

Other than that, this fridge is a great choice. It features a large freezer compartment which is uncommon for counter-depth French-door refrigerators. It also has a large capacity for frozen food items compared to other models.

The fridge is equipped with 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is on what you would expect from an French door refrigerator that costs this much. It also has an adequate-sized icemaker packed into the left-hand door, although it isn't the largest I've seen.

The drawers are easy to shut and open, but I found the plastic's textured coatings a bit hard on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator is equipped with a full suite of features you'd expect from a fridge in this price range, including Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in world, and has numerous options for customization. It will also send you notifications when the door is left unlocked and when the fridge or freezer requires defrosting, and when the filter needs to be changed.

It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill, an option available in a few other GE fridges that allow you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to disperse at once. It also has a countdown feature on the fridge display to display how much water have remaining, but that's not as useful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

It is designed to look like a seamless part of your kitchen, Bosch's French-door refrigerator is an eye-catching piece. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that helps keep vegetables and fruits fresher for longer, and two compressors for maximum food preservation. The ice maker is one of the most efficient we've ever tested and produces a pyramid-shaped ice that is low in use of water. This refrigerator is ideal for a small household or a kitchenette that wants a built-in appearance and top-of-the best food preservation.
