The fridge is equipped with 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment has 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is on what you would expect from a french door style fridge freezer door refrigerator that costs this much. It has a decent sized refrigerator with an ice maker in the left door. However it's not the most spacious one I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to create a custom storage setup for whatever you have to keep. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is also attractive. The LED lighting is an appealing touch. The in-door storage bins have a third shelf which can be folded down to store large items. The drawers come with temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. The drawers are simple to open and shut, but I found the textured plastic coatings a bit hard on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with the complete set of features you'd expect from a refrigerator at this price that includes Wi-Fi as well as app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices allows you to control your refrigerator from anywhere in the world, and offers a ton of customization options. It also sends you notifications when a door is left open, when your fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS came with Precise Fill which is an option that is available in a few other GE fridges that allow you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to disperse at a time. It does have an indicator on the fridge's display to display how much water you have remaining, but that's not as effective as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Designed to look like a seamless piece of your kitchen Bosch's French door refrigerator is one of a kind. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer periods, and two compressors for preserving food items. The Ice maker is among the top we've tested and produces pyramid-shaped ice with a low water consumption. This fridge is perfect for a single family or kitchenette that needs an attractive design and top of the highest quality food preservation.

This fridge was the top-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for a few reasons. Its freezer temperatures remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never changed more than a fraction - this is crucial to avoid freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well. It reached the initial temperature within a matter of hours, and maintained the temperature throughout our testing.

Bosch is known for its premium appliances which is why it's no surprise that this counter depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance, with the option of connecting to your home Wi-Fi and Bosch's Home Connect platform. This app allows you to monitor and control your fridge from your tablet or smartphone. The fridge is expensive and has great features and functionality at a fair price.

While the fridge is an incredible appliance, it's important to know the limitations. You may need to get inventive with tall items since the fridge has a limited shelf space. The shelves are also not spillproof and can easily be stained or damaged by sharp objects. The trays are easily removed from the refrigerator. However, they should be cleaned regularly to prevent the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S is a top counter-depth refrigerator that packs a lot of storage space into the frame's compact size. This refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker making it easy to transfer the frozen ice as needed. The freezer has thoughtful design elements, as well, such as sliding drawers that can help you better organize the position of your items. It also has a huge bin that can hold plenty of frozen food and an storage bin for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another cool feature of the refrigerator. It lets you manage the refrigerator's temperature as well as lighting using your smartphone. It's a great way to control and monitor your refrigerator, especially if you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat, but it doesn't necessarily improve the efficiency of the fridge. The fridge took a bit longer to defrost food and chill it than the other fridges we tested. This could be due to the greater capacity.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a good option for those looking to combine the benefits of a fridge with a French door with an efficient layout. Its capacity is superior to counter-depth models and is able to cool evenly. It's also a little cheaper than the top counter-depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which helps make it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire french door integrated fridge freezer door refrigerator is a good choice when you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It's a basic refrigerator that might not be as eye-catching as its rivals however, it does have enough features to make a suitable choice. Its most important feature is the adjustable temperature drawer that helps keep food items like veggies and meat fresher for longer. It also has a large water dispenser as well as a good ice maker that operates quickly.

Another feature that is worth mentioning is the "Chill Drawer" that sits over the two crisper bins. The drawer allows you to divert a portion of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, which means you can put away food items that require special attention. This feature can be adjusted using an outside slider that is located inside the drawer. You can also set the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've noticed that the generic settings are more effective than the specific ones.

During my tests, the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly constant across the different areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the middle, top and bottom of the fridge didn't differ much from 38 degrees. This is a pretty good performance however it doesn't make it into the top ten in our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat in order to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is made of stainless steel with a grey-bodied body which has a "smudge-proof" finish. It is capable of removing streaks and fingerprints even when compared with glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
