UPVC Replacement Door Handles

The handles on your doors wear out over time and need to be replaced. It is crucial to be able to match the dimensions of the handles you have previously replaced when replacing them.

The top screw position, the lever and the keyhole sizes are the three measurements you have to determine. Use the size guide to help you.

Inline Lever/Lever

The uPVC/Composite door handles are made of sturdy materials and are ideal for multi point lock doors that require a strong design. The handles are inline, and they utilize the same spindle and screws to fix them. They can be easily installed on a new or existing old upvc window handles/Composite door.

The spring lever design allows the handle to be positioned and angled for comfortable operation and is suitable for all users. Lever Pad

They come in many variations & finishes.

The handles are available in a variety of finishes, including White, Chrome, and Gold. The finish is BS EN 1670 Grade 5 and is resistant to rust. This provides the handle with a high performance and long-lasting durability for its intended purpose.

All UPVC levers for handles include a spindle and screws, and can be fitted on a replace upvc window handle door handles victorian. Euro Cylinders are available with up to six pins. Doors that are internal and external require different levels of security.

The choice of cylinder you choose is crucial. It's dependent on the use that your doors and handles receive. For example, external doors should be fitted with an extra secure cylinder, whilst internal doors can be secured using the standard cylinder. Additionally, certain cylinders come with additional features that increase security further, such as anti-drill or anti-bump features.

To ensure that the euro cylinder is of the right size for your door, it should be measured correctly. The cylinder should be measured from the hole in the center of the fixing screw to the end of the cylinder including the thumb turn if you have one. It is best to do this with the lock in place however, if this is not possible, you may take it off to measure. A cylinder that protrudes beyond the handle and escutcheon may be susceptible to attacks like snapping locks, therefore it is important that it is not too long.

The design of most newer cylinders has anti-drilling and bump resistance features. They are designed to decrease attacks by forcing cylinders to rotate in a new direction. This can help to deflect attacks and ensure your door is secure.

There are cylinders that have been made to withstand snapping. This is a growing kind of attack on cylinders, where the break line inside the lock is targeted using a special tool to break off the front of the cylinder to allow the door to open. This is a much faster and more convenient method of gaining access than through the use of a multipoint locking system. It also leaves less evidence of the break-in which could make it difficult to prove insurance claims.

Spring Cassette

The spring cassette is situated in the base plate of your door handle. It provides a sprung solution to return your multipoint lock handles to their resting position after using. The handles had no spring and would drop when the locking mechanism was removed. The addition of this simple element is one of the best ways to correct this and it is also an excellent way to stop your upvc doors from getting stuck in an open or closed position, as they aren't always simple to close manually.

These spring cassettes were designed to be used with a sprung multipoint locks. They will not fit unsprung handles and you'll have to cut a hole in your backplate for them to fit. (Please check the image for a technical diagram). They are a replacement for broken or missing cassettes in the door handle backplate of various kinds of uPVC doors. They are sold as a single unit. They come with a square cut out that can accommodate an 8mm shaft.
