A 3-wheel buggy is perfect for off-road walking & dealing with terrain from bumpy pavements to woodland tracks. They can also be easier to maneuver up and down kerbs than models with four wheels.

Stability

When folded, three-wheelers may be more bulky than buggies with four wheels due to the single wheel on the front. Be sure that the model you choose fits inside your car's boot and can be set up in a straight line if needed. Certain models can be folded with one hand, and can be rearranged when folded. This will save space in small car boot.

A quality three-wheel pushchair will take on any terrain from busy roads to forest tracks. It's important to think about what you'll be using it for every day. If you'll be doing the school run, it should be able to handle steep kerbs and slopes. If you'll be jogging with it, check that it has a lockable swivelling'stretch' front wheel to keep the ride safe.

MFM reviewer Kath found her tri-wheeled buggy able to cope really well with the countryside and urban walks. Kath said it negotiated cobbles, rocky paths and bumpy pavements effortlessly and felt pleasant to jog with too.
