World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an Best item upgrade to 700, and then add a final perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example, a perfectly rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons don't really change after an upgrade, and aren't worth it.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats like crit chance, attack damage as well as PvE and damage from PvP. They also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. In addition there are many weapons with a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a single unit. In the case of items that only see use in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance) upgrading them could make them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.

Armor items can be upgraded to improve their performance. This can increase the base defense of a helm or chest while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it could change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading along with the relative value of those stats. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in a weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button in the item upgrader kit menu using the arrows that circle. The item will be rerolled and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few tweaks to your armor can make a a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons, fire, and magic. This can make it easier to get through difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense you have on your character, the greater health you can gain from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game and to unlock each fountain, you must complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. After you've completed your main quest and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. You'll require anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade item the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. Potions

Trinkets

Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons, armor, and potions. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets are able to be exchanged at will without losing their status.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and the capital of each zone, and in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades to trinkets are an economical alternative to buying an entirely new one. It is possible to upgrade a player for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same level of base as the old trinket, but will also have an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Trinkets can be upgraded when they're no longer useful and allows players to boost their power and value over time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.

In general players should make upgrades to their top-priority items first. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, but is still less expensive than buying the new one.
