DOE will also examine the effects on manufacturers and will employ a modified industry cash flow model that is modified to fit this particular product to calculate manufacturing NPV. Additionally, DOE will consider the potential impact on small business manufacturers and other manufacturer subgroups to identify any that could be affected in a different way by these proposals.
DOE will also examine whether the test procedure for microwave oven grill integrated ovens has to be updated in order to include active mode power consumption as well as an integrated energy use metric. The current test procedures only include standby mode power consumption.
