The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of the best automatic vacuum navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It's efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as good. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into narrow corners or along baseboards. The front arms can be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's easy to install and is effective however, it's something you'll have to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The X1 Omni is most notable for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot hoover and mop, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base has a few control buttons that let you manually begin a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto vacuum and mop-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to toggle a child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you free it. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxy units.
