WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases the item level by +3. A random extra substat is also increased with every upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader mod upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for instance. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another significant modification is that crests have one usage and it's crucial to use them properly. For instance, it's a good idea to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment available and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
